We sit by the fire,
Listening to the rain.
As I lie in your arms
Content once again
The rain soothes us
Into peaceful bliss.
As we lay there together
With nothing amiss.
I think how I love you
While I doze on and off
And how much you love me.
Your kisses are soft.
Barely a brush
Of your lips on my flesh.
Can it get any better?
Do you feel as blessed
As I do while with you?
Asleep in your arms
Happy and content
And safe here from harm.
